          Tuckerton measures 9.468 kilometers and is bordered by Great Bay.  There are only a few housing developments, which include Paradise Cove, Tuckerton Beach, Tuckerton Estates, and Tuckerton Meadows.

          Most of the businesses in Tuckerton are small and independent.  There are a few banks, restaurants, and a craft shop in town.  A couple of marinas and boat repair shops are in the town also.

          Several clubs and organizations are in within Tuckerton, including Clean Ocean Action, American Littoral Society, Barnegat Bay Decoy and Baymen's Museum, Tuckerton Historical Society and Pinelands Youth Services.   

          Tuckerton has only one elementary school, Tuckerton Elementary, which houses grades K-6.  Students in grades 7-12 attend Pinelands Regional Middle School and High School, in Little Egg Harbor. 

          There are a variety of recreational activities in the area.  There are two public parks: South Green Street County Park, which offers fishing, crabbing, and a playground; and Tip Seaman County Park, which offers picnic areas, basketball and tennis courts, a softball field, and a playground.

          A couple of the activities and events occurring throughout the year in Tuckerton are a yearly flea market at Tip Seaman Park and the Barnegat Bay Decoy and Gunning Show (September).
